The TCTA was founded in 1972 in the belief that active citizen participation in everyday workings of local government is essential for transparency and accountability. The more members we have, the stronger we become locally and statewide. Good government doesn’t just happen, it is the result of an ongoing cooperative effort among elected officials, staff employees, and concerned and informed citizens.
